Paris, France (PAR - CDG, ORY)

Hints and information on how to efficiently navigate Paris, France.

Paris is served by two airports; Charles de Gualle (CDG) and Orly (ORY). Here is some information on how to get to the city of Paris and between airports from each of these airports:

  • Charles de Gaulle (CDG)
    • Head to the station between Halls C and E in Terminal 2 where you will see signs for the trains to Paris. This is directly below the Sheraton Hotel. Take the RER Blue train to the center of Paris (Gare du Nord or Chatlet les Halles), then you can connect to the Metro
      • Ensure that you purchase your tickets before you board the train. You can purchase a pass for three days or just get a ticket to the city and pay as you go after that. It is 7.75 EUR for the journey.
      • No airline discounts available
    • Take the Air France Shuttle bus
      • The fare is about 10.00 EUR to get to the Arc de Triomphe in the heart of Paris. Journey time is about an hour.
      • No airline discount available
      • You do get a discount if you are in a group of five or more (8.50 EUR)
    • To reach Orly (ORY) from CDG, that the Roissy Bus
      • If you purchase your ticket at the ticket desk, you will receive a discount when you present your airline ID. The ticket counters are located in each terminal.
  • Orly (ORY)
    • Take the free Orly Val train to the RER Blue train station at Anthony. Then take the RER Blue to the Center of Paris (Gare du Nord or Chatlet les Halles), then you can connect to the Metro
    • The cost is about 9.30 EUR. Go here for current cost

    • Take the Air France Shuttle bus
      • Fares vary based on your destination in Paris

    • ORY to CDG
      • Take the Roissy Bus
        • You may purchase your ticket at the ticket desk or on the bus, you will receive a discount when you present your airline ID.

  • Naturally, you can always take a cab, but it will be a lot more expensive. Just follow the airport signs to the cab stand and tell the agent where you are heading.
