Perth, WA Australia (PER)

Hints and information on how to efficiently navigate Perth, WA Australia.
Note: The information is subject to change. All prices are quoted in Australian dollars.

Perth, WA Australia is served by the Perth International Airport (PER). Like most large Australian cities, there are two separate and distinct terminals (International and Domestic). At PER they are 8km apart with a journey time of about 12 minutes between the two. Here is some information on how to get to Perth and Fremantle ( a nearby large city) from either terminal:

  • Getting from the Domestic to the International Terminal or vice versa
    • If you are connecting to a Qantas flight, you will be provided with a bus ticket from the agents on the ground. This ticket will give you access to the inter-terminal transfer. If you are not connecting to a Qantas flight, then you will either have to take a cab for about $20 or take the City Shuttle for $11. The journey is about 12 minutes. You can walk, but I don't recommend it as the journey is 8km. Interestingly enough, the runway separates the two terminals, but you have to drive around it to get from one to the other.
