Hints and information on how to efficiently navigate São Paulo, Brazil.

São Paulo, Brazil is served by two airports: Congonhas (CGH) and Guarulhos (GRU). Here is some information on
how to get to downtown São Paolo and betwen airports:
- Congonhas (CGH)
- For $21 Reals, take the Airport Bus Service to Guarulhos (GRU)
All departure times are posted, you should not have to wait more than 1:10 for any bus. Busses between CGH and GRU leave every half an hour. The entire journey time is about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard and Visa are accepted.
- Guarulhos (GRU)
- Take the City Bus (Express, #257 or #299) to the Tatuapé Metro station. Do not take the local bus as it will take a long time to get to the Metro station. The cost for the bus is R$2.90 and the metro is $1.90 Reals. Once at the Metro station, you can take the Metro to the center of the city (Trianon Masp).
- For $21 Reals, take the Airport Bus Service to the following stops
- Congonhas (CGH)
- Eldorado Shopping Mall
- Maksoud Plaza Hotel and other downtown hotels
- Paulista Avenue - main shopping street
- Republica Square

No airline discount is given on the Airport Bus Service.
- There are locker facilities available for $5 Reals. If they are full or cannot hold your bag, you can leave your bag in a locked area for between $6 and $30 Reals depending on the size of the bag. The facility is open 24 hours. If you lose your key, you have tyo pay an additional $30 Reals.
- There is a Best Western hotel at $79 Reals and the Plaza Hotel Guaru for $60 Reals available within easy reach of the airport. You can make bookings at the Locker facility.
- Naturally, you can always take a cab, but it will be more expensive. Just follow the airport signs to the cab stand and tell the agent where you are heading.
