Machu Picchu, Peru – Airline Serving Destination

Airline Serving Destination

The closest commercial airport to Machu Picchu, Peru is Cuzco, Peru (CUZ).  The closest international airport is Lima, Peru (LIM). On the left you can find links for contact information for all the airlines serving both airports.

Note: As CUZ is high in the Andes mountains at approximately 10,800′ (3,300m), the flights are usually heavily weight restricted–meaning, the number of passengers on any given flight may be restricted.  As such you should check the passenger loads carefully, or look into purchasing a revenue ticket between LIM and CUZ.  Checking the loads on these flights will make sure there are enough seats available for your desired dates.

An alternate connecting city to CUZ is Peru’s second largest city, Arequipa (AQP).  But check the loads on the AQP to LIM segment as its a heavily traveled route and its at high altitude of about 8,268′ (2,520 m), so it may be weight restricted as well.
