I had the pleasure of riding the Inlandsbanan compliments of the Swedish Tourist Board in July 2016. This was my first time riding this train and I was not disappointed.

Experience the Inlandsbanan
Our Guide Lotta took her time showing us around her town of Vilhelmina, then dropped us (there were three of us) at the train station, waiting until our train arrived and we all boarded.
It all started with a pleasant welcome aboard from my Trainmaster, William. He’s a third generation employee with the company and his zest for trains far outweighs mine.

Our train departed Vilhelmina at 5:09p and arrived in Östersund Central at 8:49p giving us enough time to take the 10:30p overnight train on Swedish Rail to Stockholm. Here are some scenes as we moved along the rails…
