St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) | Atlanta (ATL) | Boston (BOS) | Chicago O'Hare (ORD) | Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) | Denver (DEN) | Houston (IAH) | Los Angeles (LAX) | Miami (MIA) | New York JFK (JFK) | Newark (EWR) | Philadelphia (PHL) | Portland (PDX) | San Francisco (SFO) | Seattle (SEA) | Washington Dulles (IAD)

This guide to international nonstop flights from St. Vincent covers every current route out of Argyle International Airport (SVD), the main gateway to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a 32-island nation: American to Miami and Charlotte, Delta to Atlanta, jetBlue and Caribbean Airlines to New York, Air Canada to Toronto, and the dense web of regional carriers linking St. Vincent to Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, and Antigua. Plus what changes once the Atlanta route disappears, and how to continue on into the Grenadines themselves once you land.

North America

Five nonstops to the U.S. and Canada, spread across four airlines, none of them daily. This is a once- or few-times-weekly network, and it’s about to get one route smaller.

From SVD

  • Atlanta (ATL) — Delta, Saturdays. Ending Sept 5, 2026. Full story here.
  • Charlotte (CLT) — American, winter-only, Saturdays.
  • Miami (MIA) — American, 5x weekly (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun).
  • New York JFK (JFK) — jetBlue daily, Caribbean Airlines 2x weekly.
  • Toronto (YYZ) — Air Canada, weekly (Wednesdays).

✈ Nonrev Note

After September 5, JFK becomes the only daily U.S. option out of SVD: jetBlue’s B6 1640 runs every day, while everything else on this list is weekly or less. Miami’s 5x-weekly American service is the next-best backup, and Charlotte only exists in winter. If you’re routing to St. Vincent on standby, JFK is your highest-odds mainline option; treat ATL (through Sept 5), CLT, and YYZ as trap routes: miss one and you’re waiting a week or a season.

The Eastern Caribbean

Six regional nonstops, almost entirely on turboprops, connecting SVD into the wider Eastern Caribbean network. This is where St. Vincent’s actual flight density lives: Barbados alone sees 20-plus weekly departures across four carriers.

From SVD

  • Antigua (ANU) — LIAT Air, 4x weekly.
  • Barbados (BGI) — InterCaribbean, LIAT Air, Caribbean Airlines, Virgin Atlantic; 20+ weekly combined.
  • Grenada (GND) — InterCaribbean daily, LIAT Air 2x weekly.
  • Port of Spain, Trinidad (POS) — Caribbean Airlines and LIAT Air, ~4x weekly combined.
  • St. Lucia (SLU) — LIAT Air and Winair, 3x weekly. Serves George F.L. Charles Airport downtown, not the main Hewanorra (UVF) international gateway.
  • St. Maarten (SXM) — Winair, weekly.

✈ Nonrev Note

The Barbados route is the one worth knowing about beyond its own frequency. Virgin Atlantic’s VS198 doesn’t turn around at Barbados (BGI); it continues on to London Heathrow (LHR), meaning the same aircraft that touches down at SVD is working a genuine long-haul rotation. It’s not a nonstop to London, since there’s a stop in BGI, but it is a genuine direct flight: same flight number, same aircraft, continuing straight through to Europe. Its main purpose is to funnel travelers to the Sandals Resort on the island. Everything else in this region runs on regional turboprops (ATR/Embraer equipment) with thin schedules. Antigua, St. Lucia, and St. Maarten are all under-weekly-daily, so always carry a backup routing through Barbados or Grenada, which have the deepest onward connectivity.

Getting to the Grenadines

Most travelers landing at SVD aren’t stopping in St. Vincent; they’re continuing on to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, or Union Island, the outer islands that make up the rest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. These aren’t international connections, they’re domestic, within the same country, so they don’t count in the destination totals above, but they’re essential to actually planning a trip here. Two ways to make the hop:

By Air — SVG Air & Mustique Airways

  • Bequia (BQU) — SVG Air, daily, Twin Otter/BN2 Islander, ~10 minutes.
  • Canouan (CIW) — SVG Air, daily.
  • Union Island (UNI) — SVG Air, daily.
  • Mustique (MQS) — Mustique Airways, daily shared charter via the Grenadine Air Alliance.

By Ferry

  • Bequia — Once you make your way from the airport in St. Vincent either via tour bus, taxi or a minibus, the Bequia Express and Bequia Fast Ferry combined run 5+ times daily on weekdays/Saturdays (fewer Sundays), roughly an hour each way.
  • Canouan, Mayreau & Union Island — a multi-stop Southern Grenadines ferry (incl. the Jaden Sun) runs 4 sailing days a week, both directions; the full Kingstown-to-Union-Island run takes 4-5 hours.

⛴ Ferry vs. Flight

Bequia is close enough that the ferry is genuinely the easier option for most people: frequent, cheap, and you can watch it happen from the dock rather than book a charter seat. Canouan, Mayreau, and Union Island are a longer, less-frequent ferry run, so the daily SVG Air flights are usually the better play if your schedule is tight. Here’s a walkthrough of the ferry service on video: watch it here. A full written guide is on the roadmap.

✈ Standby Strategy View

The solid play: JFK on jetBlue, the only true daily out of SVD, and Barbados on InterCaribbean/LIAT, which runs multiple times a day. I did a jetBlue TrueBlue points ticket from JFK, leaving on Sunday and returning on Wednesday. The once-weekly traps: Toronto, St. Maarten, and (through Sept 5) Atlanta. Miss any of these and the next nonstop is seven days out. The seasonal catch: Charlotte only exists in winter, so don’t plan a summer routing around it. The regional workaround: Barbados and Grenada have the deepest onward connections if a direct SVD routing falls through, since both feed into wider LIAT Air and InterCaribbean networks across the Eastern Caribbean.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many international nonstop flights from St. Vincent (SVD) are there?

11 as of August 2026: five in North America (Atlanta, Charlotte, Miami, New York JFK, Toronto) and six in the Eastern Caribbean (Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, St. Maarten). That drops to 10 once Delta’s Atlanta route ends on September 5, 2026.

Is Delta ending its St. Vincent flight?

Yes. Delta launched Atlanta–St. Vincent on December 20, 2025, and is ending it after September 5, 2026, less than nine months after launch. The route will not return for the 2026 winter season as originally planned. Full details here.

What’s the best way to reach St. Vincent from the U.S. after September 5, 2026?

jetBlue’s daily JFK nonstop is the strongest option for standby travelers once Atlanta ends: it’s the only true daily service. American’s 5x-weekly Miami flight is the next-best backup.

Can I fly nonstop from St. Vincent to London?

Not nonstop, but direct: Virgin Atlantic’s VS198 flies St. Vincent–Barbados–London Heathrow as a single flight number, with the same widebody aircraft continuing from Barbados on to Europe. There’s a stop at Barbados, so it isn’t a true nonstop, but it is a genuine direct flight, and the only long-haul-equipment service touching SVD.

Does St. Vincent have year-round flights to Toronto?

Yes, Air Canada flies SVD–YYZ weekly (Wednesdays) year-round, though at once-a-week frequency it’s a classic trap route: miss it and the next nonstop is seven days out.

Is St. Vincent good for nonrev standby travel?

It’s workable but thin. Only one route (JFK–SVD on jetBlue) runs daily; everything else is weekly, a few-times-weekly, or seasonal. Build a backup routing through Barbados or Grenada, both have denser regional connections, before listing on any of the once-weekly North America routes.

How do I get from St. Vincent to Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, or Union Island?

These are the Grenadines, the rest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines beyond the main island: domestic connections, not international ones. Bequia is a short, frequent ferry ride (5+ times daily on Bequia Express/Bequia Fast Ferry) or a 10-minute SVG Air hop. Canouan and Union Island run daily SVG Air flights or a slower multi-stop ferry (4 sailing days a week). Mustique is served by Mustique Airways’ daily shared charter.
